Want to Feel Flow, Energy, and Resourced?

Let’s Work Together!

I am Monika L. Son Ph.D, Contemplative Practice & Justice Centered Educator and Facilitator, Embodied Leadership Teacher, Life Transitions Guide and Chaplain.

I am a native New Yorker, daughter of Dominican immigrants, forever college professor and a lover of trees, flowers and gardens. I have had many roles in my life and career, but those that have invited me to serve, support and share wisdom with others, have been the most cherished.

With over 20 years of experience supporting individuals and organizations committed to justice, healing, and transformative change, my work integrates trauma-informed facilitation, contemplative and somatic practices, and deep inquiry into identity, power, and collective care.

I support leaders, educators, and communities in cultivating resilience, compassion, and embodied wisdom—especially in the face of systemic harm and uncertainty. I bring an intergenerational and cross-cultural lens to all that I do.

Whether I’m supporting leaders, guiding teams, or teaching in academic or spiritual spaces, I bring a grounded presence and a fierce commitment to justice, compassion, and collective healing. My work is rooted in the belief that sustainable transformation arises not just from intellectual insight but from embodied, relational, and spiritual practice. I support people and organizations in cultivating the inner conditions—awareness, resilience, humility, and care—that allow for outer change to take root with integrity.

Through contemplative methods, trauma-informed facilitation, and somatic tools, I invite people into deep inquiry—into who they are, how they show up in the world, and how they participate in or challenge systems of oppression. I hold space for complexity, ambiguity, and emergence, encouraging a return to the wisdom of the body and the clarity of compassionate presence.

Transformation is not a solo journey—it is relational, generational, and sacred. I’m honored to support those committed to personal and collective liberation.

Step Into Your Wholeness with Ser Entero

I work from a place of choosing wholeness—welcoming every part of yourself with compassion and intention. My work is intended to support folks who lead in justice centered spaces, including those who those who serve their families, communities, organizations, and institutions—especially those experiencing transition, burnout, and loss of meaning or vision.

My work calls people into alignment—with their values, with each other, and with the collective good. I walk alongside those who are choosing to lead and live with radical love, courage, and spaciousness, especially in these times of deep uncertainty and potential.

Let's walk this journey together.

Ser Entero: Embrace Your Wholeness

Ser Entero, meaning “to be whole” or “whole being” in Spanish, is rooted in the belief that you are already whole—there is nothing to fix, nothing missing. While growth and transformation are part of life, you are not incomplete. Everything you need is already within you.

If you’re seeking greater clarity, deeper self-trust, and more resourced, Ser Entero provides a space for you to uncover, embrace, and fully step into your wholeness. This isn’t about fixing—it’s about reconnecting with who you are.

The work is to sift through, uncover, reveal and reclaim more of what is already there. Part of our reclamation is also to accompany our grief ,anger and helplessness.  To be whole is to befriend these strong emotions as well. We also reclaim wholeness by coming back into the body.

My role in this work is to accompany you on the journey, as a guide, facilitator, and doula on your path of emergence into more of who you want to be. This work is ultimately a lifelong journey for all of us; but I hope that with some support, you develop the capacity to continue forward with some practices that support your continued growth and development.

My work is also grounded in uplifting access and opportunity for those who live in the bodies and come from the communities that have experienced deep marginalization due to systems of power and oppression. I believe that a form of justice is also about resourcing those who have been/ and or continue to be at the margins, and build their capacity to be future leaders of change.
